Seniors' Sunday
Watch this space for details of Seniors' Sundays during the 2009/10 Session.
The second Sunday of each month is Seniors' Sunday - when the Seniors from across the Battalion come together to take part in activities they have chosen and organised themselves.
Officers provide transport but everything else, including how the activities are financed is up to the Seniors.
As Seniors' Sunday is a new venture, started in October 2008, young people in Secondary 3 at school and upwards are invited to attend. From September 2009 Seniors' Sunday will be open to young people in Secondary 4 and upwards.
Seniors' Sundays have included:
- March 2009 - Games in the Church Halls in Blairgowrie
- February 2009 - Games in the Church Halls in Scone
- January 2009 - Zap Zone and Ten-pin Bowling in Dundee, followed by a trip to the Halls of 6th/8th Dundee
- December 2008 - Go-karting and Mini Golf at Noah's Ark in Perth, followed by lunch and a visit to the Scout Hut in Scone
- November 2008 - Indoor Games and X-Box in the Church Halls in Scone
- October 2008 - Ten-pin Bowling and a visit to the Halls of 6th/8th Dundee
